Volutive is an invoicing application that Binarema designs and sells.
(It presently has over 4,000 registered users in five continents.)
VDEF technology is based on a simple idea: thousands of Volutive users email thousands of documents containing thousands (millions?) of data every day. Volutive sends all this information in a PDF for viewing and printing purposes. But after the recipient has processed the PDF... where does all this valuable information go?
Example
A vendor inserts a quote for a customer using Volutive. The quote is sent to the customer's email address. The customer uses the attached PDF to get printed a perfect copy of the document. But he is a Volutive user too, so that he can use the VDEF.TXT file to automatically import the quote as a purchase order. He has a chance to modify any detail (say quantities, shipment, terms, etc...) prior to save the order. The order is emailed to the vendor, who can, finally, import the purchase order as an invoice.
